I’ve been in the flooring industry for over 15 years and always felt there’s a better way to do things. The industry is full of people stuck in the “that’s how it’s always been done” mentality, but I’m constantly searching for ways to improve.

I’m driven to enhance the customer experience and deliver what people crave: transparent estimates, quality installations, and high-level communication.

That’s why I started CarpetNow. I wanted to create a better experience with transparency, speed, and high quality.

My goal? To make CarpetNow the gold standard for customer service, not just in flooring but across all industries. I want plumbers, clothing companies, and car dealerships to look at us and say, “Wow, I want to give my customers a similar feeling.”

My motivation is to build a flooring company that stands head and shoulders above the rest.

People often ask me, "What inspired you to start CarpetNow?"

It’s a question that always takes me back. My journey in the flooring world started with my family’s business, where I first experienced the satisfaction of helping people beautify their homes. However, it was the desire to create a truly exceptional customer experience that ultimately led me to found CarpetNow.

Early Influences

My journey started with my family. I’m a second-generation flooring guy, and I learned the ropes from my parents. Working with them, I fell in love with the flooring world. It clicked for me that I could be a part of beautifying people’s homes, meeting new clients every day, and fulfilling their unique needs. It was incredibly rewarding to see how a new floor could transform a space and bring joy to homeowners.

But my early influences weren’t just limited to flooring. I’ve had a variety of experiences throughout my life, from DJing to jewelry sales, and each one has shaped my approach to business and leadership.

DJing taught me the importance of connecting with people and creating an experience that resonates with them. Jewelry sales honed my communication skills and instilled in me the value of building relationships. My experience living overseas broadened my perspective and taught me the importance of empathy.

All of these experiences have contributed to my belief that business is about more than just making a profit. It’s about connecting with people, understanding their needs, and making their lives a little bit better. That’s the philosophy I bring to CarpetNow every single day.

The Spark

After years in the flooring world, I knew there had to be a better way. I felt there was a better way to do things than the way everyone else was doing them. The flooring industry is full of people stuck in the “that’s how it’s always been done” mentality, but I was constantly searching for ways to improve.

I was constantly looking for ways to improve customer experience and tap into the things people desperately wanted, but few companies were trying to accomplish: high levels of communication, quick & quality installations, and transparent estimates.

Automation was key. People should never have to wonder about the status of their projects. They should be communicated with using technology and human interaction so they always know what’s happening. Sadly, that’s not something many flooring companies even try to provide, let alone actually do.

That’s when the spark ignited. I realized I could create a company that did things differently, a company that truly prioritized the customer experience and used technology to enhance every step of the process. That’s how the idea for CarpetNow was born.

Identifying the Gap

When I looked at the carpet industry specifically, I saw a gap in the market. Everyone was focused on hardwood and tile, but carpet still makes up a significant portion of the flooring market. People still want carpet in their bedrooms, game rooms, and hallways, but nobody was catering to that market with a focus on customer experience.

I saw companies hiding pricing from clients, forcing them to sift through hundreds of samples without knowing the cost. Customers weren’t being educated on the differences between carpet products, and the whole process felt unnecessarily complicated and slow.

I knew there had to be a better way. A way to simplify the process, be transparent about pricing, and still maintain high quality. A way to give people a flooring experience that would make them say, “I wish everything else I’ve done in my home was done to this degree of excellence.”

Most companies still rely on hand written sticky notes and outdated methods, but we’ve embraced automation to improve communication and efficiency. I believe that technology should work for us, not against us.

  • Automated Updates: We send text and email updates throughout the entire process, from booking an appointment to post-installation follow-up. Customers receive instant notifications and reminders, so they’re always in the loop.

  • Online Resources: We offer carpet guides, videos, and warranty information to educate our customers. We want our customers to be empowered to make the best decisions for their homes.

  • Technology When You Need it, People When You Don’t: This is an amazing phrase you’ve probably heard on an insurance commercial but it really speaks to our beliefs. Even though we leverage technology everyday, we never ignore the power and value of old fashioned customer service. Make no mistake about it, we are here to serve and always eager to roll up our sleeves and be there for our clients without hiding behind a screen.

We’re constantly exploring new ways to leverage technology to enhance our services and make the carpet buying and installation process as seamless as possible.

One of the most exciting trends in the carpet industry is the incredible improvement in stain resistance. Carpets today are far more durable and resistant to stains than they were 15 years ago. This innovation has made carpet a more appealing option for homeowners, even in high-traffic areas.

We’re also proud to offer sustainable and eco-friendly carpet options. Most of the carpets we sell are American-made, so we don’t have to worry about high VOCs or harmful chemicals. And contrary to popular belief, carpet can actually be great for allergies if you choose the right one!
